Baroque Song of Latin America
Música Temprana
Música Temprana makes their long-awaited return to Music Before 1800 in an evening celebrating the diversity of Baroque song throughout Latin America. This concert is a celebration of the ensemble’s core repertoire, which comes from the archives, cathedrals and Jesuit missions of Latin America. In a panorama of different styles from the colonial period, including religious works and folksong alike, Corpus Christi will come alive with the rich cultural diversity of Latin America, with the threads of many Creole, Indian, African and European influences.
